Dentium Successfully Hosts the 2025 Bangkok World Symposium

“Minimal but BIG Change”: Defining the Global Implantology Trend

The 2025 Dentium World Symposium brought together implant experts from around the globe on November 20–21 at ICONSIAM, Bangkok. This year’s event reaffirmed its international stature, drawing more than 1,500 participants from 34 countries across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. The program featured hands-on workshops on Day 1—Immediate Implant Placement, Minimal GBR, and Sinus Surgery—followed by the main scientific symposium with 11 world-renowned speakers on Day 2.

Day 1: Evidence-based Hands-on Workshops

Prof. Nguyen Khanh Long (Vietnam–Cuba Friendship Hospital) outlined clear criteria for determining when Minimal GBR is required in immediate implant placement and guided participants through digital workflows for immediate provisionalization.
Dr. Cosmin Dima (Dental Progress, Romania) presented a structured approach to maxillary sinus anatomy, pathology, and material selection covering both internal and external sinus lifting. Attendees were able to perform the full procedure using Dentium’s DASK Simple system, experiencing firsthand the stability and predictability of sinus augmentation.

Day 2: Main Scientific Symposium

The main program opened with Prof. Heiner Weber (University of Tübingen) delivering “Advanced Sinus – Past & Future.” He reviewed five evolutionary stages in implant dentistry and emphasized how digital workflows have shifted sinus treatment from an “operation-centered” approach to a planning-driven paradigm.

Dr. Sungmin Jung (Dentium Dental Clinic) highlighted “Minimalism” as a key concept in today’s era of increasing implant complications. He stressed that simplifying diagnosis, planning, surgery, and prosthetics is central to improving predictability.
Prof. Nadja Naenni (University of Zurich) then presented evidence-based decision criteria for choosing between short implants and sinus augmentation in the posterior maxilla, underscoring case-specific selection as the determinant of long-term outcomes.

Clinical Application Session

Dr. Im Sang-Cheol (MisaWELL Dental Clinic) discussed practical strategies for reducing or even eliminating GBR in narrow ridges by leveraging the mechanical stability of the bright Implant Tissue Level’s external bevel connection. He demonstrated how stable placement can be achieved without complex grafting through real clinical cases.

Prof. Daniel S. Thoma (University of Zurich) shared posterior immediate-loading cases using the bright Implant Bone Level, reporting that high primary stability enables predictable “same-day definitive prosthetics.”
Prof. Jordi Caballé Serrano (UIC Barcelona) emphasized the importance of fully integrating surgical and prosthetic workflows and presented cases utilizing bright Implants combined with digital abutment solutions.

Minimalism Session

Dr. Pokpong Amornvit (The S Clinic, Thailand) discussed facial-driven design using Dentium bright CT, Dentium 3D Viewer, and Shining 3D facial scanning. He demonstrated how minimal intervention can still achieve substantial improvements in esthetics and function—true to the theme “Minimal but BIG Change.”
Prof. Anuphan Sittichokechaiwut (Naresuan University) presented multiple soft-tissue augmentation cases using Collagen Graft, supported by research and clinical outcomes showing how minimally invasive bone and soft-tissue regeneration can be predictably achieved.

Dentium’s Global Direction

Through the Bangkok symposium, Dentium reaffirmed the future direction of implant therapy: simpler, less invasive, and more predictable.
A Dentium spokesperson stated, “When clinicians around the world share the same philosophy, implant dentistry can take a meaningful step forward. As a Total Solution Provider—including the bright Implant system, regenerative materials, and digital solutions—Dentium is committed to supporting clinicians with true treatment completeness.”

The spokesperson added, “Next year, Dentium will expand symposiums and hands-on programs not only in Asia but also across Europe and the Middle East to further strengthen our global clinical network.”
