Global dental innovator Dentium has
successfully concluded its participation in the 30th Dental South China 2025
International Expo (DSC 2025) in Guangzhou, showcasing a wide range of
innovative technologies, including implant systems and advanced medical
devices. Amidst the Chinese dental industry's growing interest in artificial
intelligence, the company's AI-powered features, particularly the AI Occlusal
Plane technology within the bright CT, Dentium 3D Viewer, garnered
significant attention from local clinicians.
The accompanying academic sessions
showcased the world-class clinical cases of Chinese presenters, alongside
sophisticated surgical techniques from leading European experts. Notably,
several presentations demonstrated how innovative industrial technologies are
being applied in China to overcome complex clinical challenges and achieve
excellent treatment outcomes, signaling a bright future for Chinese dentistry.
The collaborative and enthusiastic atmosphere confirmed the immense potential
for continued growth and academic exchange in the region.
Amid a competitive landscape marked by the
rapid advancement of local Chinese digital equipment, Dentium underscored the
need for a dedicated strategic focus to maintain a leading edge. The company
presented its suite of digital solutions designed to simplify complex implant
procedures and maximize treatment efficiency, including the bright CT, bright Implant, DASK Simple, and OSTEON™ XENO. The showcase generated a strong
positive response and high interest in the bright Implant, which was
successfully launched in China this past August.
A hands-on session provided clinicians a
chance to experience the bright Implant and DASK Simple kits firsthand.
Feedback from visiting dental professionals was highly positive; one attending
professor praised the "potential for simplifying procedures and reducing
treatment time," while another dentist noted that the technology
"offers a new vision for the Chinese dental industry."
Advanced AI Integration with bright CT
A major focus of the exhibition was the
bright CT, an innovative system that evolves beyond conventional
diagnostic-focused CBCT to become an integral part of the entire treatment
workflow.
Low Dose, High Quality: The bright CT Low
Dose (LD) model can capture images at a minimal dose—as low as 10% of the
national diagnostic reference level in Korea—offering less radiation than a
standard panoramic X-ray while providing the precision of CBCT. This makes it a
safe option for sensitive patients, including children and pregnant women. The
system overcomes the limits of low-dose imaging by using an AI De-noising
algorithm to produce exceptionally clear images and features an advanced Metal
Artifact Reduction (MAR) algorithm to ensure precise visualization near
metallic restorations.
AI-Powered Software: The accompanying
Dentium 3D Viewer software empowers clinicians with a range of AI tools. The AI
Occlusal Plane function automatically sets the occlusal plane based on
anatomical landmarks, which is invaluable for planning prosthetic and surgical
treatments for edentulous or ambiguous cases. The software also includes a
Virtual Set-up function and a Check Bite feature, which allows clinicians to
digitize a patient’s stable occlusion from a temporary crown for highly precise
prosthetic fabrication.
Virtual Cephalometric Imaging: The 2-tile
version of the bright CT can generate Virtual Ceph images without requiring a
separate cephalometric unit. This is achieved through proprietary stitching
technology that creates a large Field of View (17.5 x 15 cm). The Virtual Ceph
module then supports an AI Tracing function that automatically detects and
analyzes anatomical landmarks, enhancing the accuracy of orthodontic diagnosis
and planning.
Building on its success at DSC 2025,
Dentium will host a bright™ Implant-focused forum in Eastern China from October
19th to 20th to further strengthen its academic exchange with local dental
professionals.
